Stay tuned for a list of products used...

October Looks
I haven't blogged in FOREVER, some of that has to do with the fact that I moved and went to see a dermatologist for acne. I got that situation resolved and then I got into a little slump. I am back now I have some pics of some different looks I had for the last couple of months. I don't really remember what all I was wearing on my eyes but I figured I would just go ahead and post them.
Neutrals - with Coastal Scents and E.L.F:
I would like to say that the above is an example of poor eyelash execution. I was just playing around with some $1 falsies I purchased. I could never get them on right then I didn't take any time to use gel or liquid liner to try to had the band. I wasn't going anywhere so I just left it. I also created a tutorial for this look. Unfortunately it proved to be too difficult for me to piece it all together. So I am going to just leave that alone.
For the look below I have no idea what I had on. I am thinking I was trying to recreate the above or maybe it was my first use of the Urban Decay Naked Palette. But who know?
This is either something blue shadow I got from a Body Shop sale or...
...something from my Urban Decay Book of Shadows III.. I think the above is the Body Shop eyeshadow and the below is the Book of Shadows.

The Red Lip
It all started with me trying to perfect making my skin flawless without looking powdery, greasy or cakey..Still working on that. I thought I might be going out, but when I realized I wasn't I decided to go in experiment mode. I am thinking that Red might be something for me to wear from time to time to mix it up.
We'll see...
Oh and an update on the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette I have been crying over. Urban Decay is selling it in a bundle on their website, for freakin' $211.. With a whole bunch of other bogus stuff I don't want or need. It was $52 originally, but $211, that made me mad, so I am over it..lol.. I was going to ask someone to gift that to me, but I would rather spend $200 on a whole bunch of stuff I would actually use.
Most of what I am wearing is Mac, with a little Sephora & Loreal eyeshadow in there. But once I decided on the red lip, I tried to cover up the Gold Sephora Eyeshadow with the taupe Loral Eyeshad on my lower lid.
I also started to put on the lashes, but truly I was not going anywhere and I didn't feel like putting on Mascara and lashes knowing full well they were coming off 10 minutes later.

One more thing...
I was Youtube video watching today..and I came upon the dreaded review of Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette. That thing came out in January and sold out almost immediately. I missed it and I am STILL pining away..I went on ebay and those things were selling for like $125!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have just jumped on it in March when they were $75 on ebay, I think the original price was like $35 or $45 [correction $52].. Sniff...
I really shouldn't still be this upset about it...lol...but I AM!
Dang you Alice!
(sigh)

Slacking off!
I haven't posted in a while... I moved to a new city...not adjusting well I am afraid..
Oh and what is worse, I had a serious breakout that I have been covering up for months. It just got really bad, one of my friends said i looked like someone burned my face with a cigarette. Needless to, I wasn't in my new city but 2 weeks before I had an appointment with a dermatologist. That was before I even found an apartment.. priorities.
So that was the end of February. For 2 whole months, I wore NO makeup...I think that attributed to my not adjusting well, because I didn't feel like going anywhere...lol.. Anyway now I am happy to say...that today I don't have one active acne pimple. I have these little heat bump looking things on my forehead. I am going to make an appointment to figure out what is going on with that. But no pimples and the scarring has gone away to the point where if I am not concerned about perfection, I don't need concealer...I am so happy.
So stay tuned for new posts.. its going to require me to get up a 1/2 hour earlier to take pics and make sure everything is straight..so that is a little challenge. Oh here is pic of me yesterday.. kind of crazy pic, I know... I was trying to only take a pic of my eye lashes so I could show a friend of mine and I haven't mastered my new camera stand and setup at my new place...lol..
Oh and you can see only remnants of my battle with acne.. I am only wearing MAC mineralize powder and MAC natural skin finish for foundation.

I am going to get my act together...so stay tuned!

Inspiration: Blue!
I with I had something deep to say about my inspiration today, but basically, I tried something yesterday I was feeling like I wanted to do a blue smokey type something and it went VERY VERY wrong. No pics on that. I fixed it so I didn't look like I got punched in both of my eyes, but I was pretty unhappy with the results. Someone (God bless her) in my office said it still looked good, but it was not my best work. Let me also say that my look was supposed to be based on me using a pigment "Deep Blue Green" that I got from the MAC Christmas Collection '09 - Cool Capers mini pigments. But I couldn't find it yesterday. It was hiding. So once that was set in my head, I wasn't able to appropriately recover even with all the other makeup I had. Oh well..
Anyway today is a new day and I found it! Yay! So we begin again. So like I said, I just wanted to use that pigment. It's not deep... I wasn't feeling blue or thinking of the ocean or anything..lol.. Welll let me say that part of it is that I am planning on getting some new pigments (can't wait) and its sort of hard to justify new ones, if I am not using my existing ones. So that is where my inspiration came from for today..

Inspiration: Glamazon!
Sometimes inspiration is as simple as looking at an eyeshadow color in my collection and building from there. I decided I would try something instead of just MAC today, so I opened my Too Faced Glamour Revolution palette (see left). I got this set at Sephora around Christmas 2008. The palette was limited addition and was good bang for the buck. Some of the colors you can still get..maybe even in a different palette.
So I saw the Glamazon and the color is pretty..glittery though (so be careful lest you look like a disco ball). But I couldn't get the word out of my head...GLAMAZON.. I thought.."That's what I will be today...a Glamazon!" (although I am not tall - it's a state of being)..lol.. Anyway I love it! And that is where my inspiration came from for today..

Why Blot Powder is a MUST have
One more post for today..
This morning, I fell in love with Blot powder. I have a lot of love in my heart and had no trouble making room for it. I will show you why...

I just noticed that I missed a spot right above my right eyebrow, but whatever.. I am standing in the same spot with the same camera....no tricks here.
AMAZING - from greasy face to normal face in a matter of like 3 minutes!
I have very dry skin, so I have to put a lot of moisturizer on and wait 15 minutes for it to sink into my skin and then I can look like anything from an oil slick to "dewy" after I put on my foundation. Blot powder fixes all that..

I am inspired by so many different things that I see in the world. The last couple of days I have been thinking about the new MAC Colour Forecast collection, which looks AMAZING (online).
