Inspiration: Blue!

I with I had something deep to say about my inspiration today, but basically, I tried something yesterday I was feeling like I wanted to do a blue smokey type something and it went VERY VERY wrong. No pics on that. I fixed it so I didn't look like I got punched in both of my eyes, but I was pretty unhappy with the results. Someone (God bless her) in my office said it still looked good, but it was not my best work. Let me also say that my look was supposed to be based on me using a pigment "Deep Blue Green" that I got from the MAC Christmas Collection '09 - Cool Capers mini pigments. But I couldn't find it yesterday. It was hiding. So once that was set in my head, I wasn't able to appropriately recover even with all the other makeup I had. Oh well..

Anyway today is a new day and I found it! Yay! So we begin again. So like I said, I just wanted to use that pigment. It's not deep... I wasn't feeling blue or thinking of the ocean or anything..lol.. Welll let me say that part of it is that I am planning on getting some new pigments (can't wait) and its sort of hard to justify new ones, if I am not using my existing ones. So that  is where my inspiration came from for today..

  1. I'm looking at the list of what you used and now realise why I don't acheive the full look when I do my eyes. Inner/Outer/middle gosh all too much for, I'll need to practice hard. I usally just use 3 - base, outer and brow bone and of course the liner and mascara.

  2. Well, all I can say is that it takes time and patience. I have to say I have cut WAY WAY down on the number of colors I was using last year around this time. LOL. I say base, inner, outer, and brow bone are musts. I like to do a middle neutral color because most times, I don't like my shadow to go too far up and it helps with blending the brow color with the shadow I use on the bottom of my lid.
